The Ghost Butterflies of Mt Diablo

 Some say the Spanish explorers named Mount Diablo because spooky things were happening when they camped at the base. Those some also say, it was probably the local inhabitants fucking with them.

 These ghostly images show that not only can butterflies flap their wings in the blink of eye but they can also do a full flap in the fraction of a second it takes the camera's shutter to open and close.

Mt Diablo... Kiss the Sky

 At the summit of Mount Diablo is this signal light. There since before radar was invented, this was how pilots at night found the Bay Area.  Recently the light was removed and restored, but I think it has lost its magic.

 You wouldn't think that to be on the very top of a mountain you would be inside a building. The Light Station is now the Visitor Center. It was built on the very top of the mountain. but they left theta of the mountain exposed so you can stand on it.
