Celebrating the National Parks Service 100th birthday with some pictures of Yosemite National Park.

The term falls is best used for waterfalls with multiple drops: Yosemite Falls.

If you want to see the waterfalls at their best go in the spring when the snow (if there is every snow again) has started to melt.

Bridalveil Fall is one of the most prominent waterfalls in the Yosemite Valley in California, seen yearly by millions of visitors to Yosemite National Park. The waterfall is 188 metres (617 ft) in height and flows year round.

The hike to the base of Bridalveil Fall. That is not fog but mist from the crashing water. The closer you get to the base the windier it gets, all that water pushing the air out of the way.

On my last trip to Yosemite there was still some snow on the ground before you made it down to the valley floor.
