If you are in Hayward on a sunny day and need a little fresh air and exercise. Take a stroll towards the shore from the end of Winton Ave. the shore is a mix of Bay mud, rock and brightly colored glass shards of every color. Weatherbeaten smooth and glistening in the sunshine.
I have heard it was the dumping ground for a long lost local glass factory but I don't know if that is fact or urban lore.
In any case it makes for some pretty pictures.
